Ready to Add some Strength Training?

If you are anything like me, cardio workouts (walking, biking, whatever) are just easier to work in.  You can walk all day long and if you do it briskly-- its a work out.  I have a desk job.  So I sit or drive much of each day.  The way I get more "steps" in (because I do use a fitbit), is walking back and forth to the copy machine a lot.  Several times a day I am walking briskly to the copier or just a 5 minute break every couple hours to walk quickly up and down the halls of my office.

The more difficult thing for me to work in is strength training.  Its just not as easy for me to fit into my day.  I might try a few push ups once a day or a few sit ups or planks-- but just not as often as I should.  I should because strength training is so important for women over 40.  Strength training will help keep your muscles and bones strong and decrease the probability of osteoporosis.  I am all for that!
Check out this really EASY video I found through Megan Ewoldsen's facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=697648843626890  Using your own body as the resistance means you can do this at home and not have to go to the gym and no expensive equipment.  Love it.
